Alex Lowde, costume and set designer for THE BODY OF AN AMERICAN, is running a masterclass on how he designs for theatre. From first reading a script, through to opening night; how he collaborates with other theatre-makers, and works within practical parameters, Alex will take you through his own theatre design process. He will take you through his work on THE BODY OF AN AMERICAN, whilst also talking about his wider career and experiences using model boxes and costume bibles from a range of different shows.
This masterclass welcomes anyone who has an interest in theatre design. You could have some experience in the field, or you could simply be an audience member keen to learn more about this side of theatre-making. There’s no need to prepare anything beforehand.
The masterclass is £15 and participants are welcome to also book £10 tickets for that day’s 3pm matinee of THE BODY OF AN AMERICAN.
