In Conversation with Emily Reynolds

The Human Voice - Press Photos-009

We are thrilled to welcome Emily Reynolds to our theatre for our first In Conversation of the new season. After the 27 September performance of The Human Voice, she will share her insights on mental health, gender and tech as they relate to the themes of this iconic play.

This In Conversation is for those who are interested in exploring the effect that technology is having on our relationships and our mental health. It will explore how Joan Cocteau’s original play, which was written almost a century ago, is as relevant today as ever.

Emily has written for WIRED magazine, NY Mag, the Guardian, Times Literary Supplement, New Statesman, BBC and many more. She was recently awarded DIVA Magazine's Journalist of the Year award. Emily makes regular media appearances having appeared on Newstalk, the FiveThirtyEight podcast, Radio 4's Today Programme and Woman's Hour to name a few.

This is a non-ticketed event. Audiences for the 27 September performance are free to stick around after the show. Anyone wanting to attend who won't be watching the show, can show up at the theatre for 8.30pm.
